INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the website of Morgan Owners Queensland (MOQ). The group started out in the 1990’s as a casual association of like minded Morgan Owners living in South East Queensland who come together to “Share the Passion” of their Morgans. The clubs incorporation in 2007 was prompted by the requirement to be covered in the case of litigation relating to public liability and personal liability of MOQ office bearers and members. We as a club presently hold public liabilty cover of $10,000,000.00.
MEMBERSHIP
Club membership is extended to all Morgan owners and draws members from the Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast areas in South East Queensland. We also have members all throughout the Morgan world, nationally and overseas. As you will see from this website, we cater for all things relating to the Morgan motor vehicle.
MEETINGS AND RUNS
MOQ hold, at a minimum, quarterly club runs and the club meetings are held on the outings. In addition to this, we also encourage members to volunteer to organise Morgan driving days and events. Simply contact the committee to co-ordinate dates and have the information about your Morgan event forwarded to club members.
QUEENSLAND CONCESSIONAL REGISTRATION
As a properly constituted car club in Queensland MOQ members qualify for Queensland Concessional Registration. Should your Morgan be more than 30 years old you can qualify for greatly reduced registration and insurance costs. Your Morgan can be used for club runs and other events hosted by properly constituted car clubs throughout Australia. This website provides “Tool bar” access to the event calendar, photo gallery of members and their cars (yet to be completed), membership application, motor market and links to other Morgan clubs and interesting related sites.
MORGAN RESTORATION AND REPAIRS
MOQ members can draw on a vast pool of knowledge on the restoration and repair of Morgan cars from the early 3 wheelers to the latest traditional shape models. Some spare parts are available directly from the club as well as specialised repair tools.
