All day
February 23, 2025
Organised by Keith and Judy Browning:
Traditionally the HCR takes place in and around the Scenic Rim region where the drive along the country roads is both warm and inviting, and the scenery changes at each turn in the road.
As the days have been warm to hot of late we propose to make travelling to the destination the 'drive ' part of the day, meeting up at the ROYAL HOTEL HARRISVALE at 12:00 noon for a social catch up and lovely lunch.
Come and join us for a relaxed afternoon, the pub is ideally situated on the banks of the river which is overlooked from the covered dining area where we will be seated. There is a splendid grassed area where the cars can be displayed. Learn about the history of the Royal Hotel and be intrigued by the stories of the ghosts that reside within the walls of the pub to this day. The owner gives us a history talk about the pub and the township exposing some colourful characters along the way. If it turns out to be a scorcher of a day the owners will set us up inside in the restaurant area that is air conditioned.
For booking purposes we would like a response prior to Friday the 14th of February. Further info will be forwarded in the coming weeks.
